Why Billy?
Because he's always very happy to see you and will probably yell your name across the room when you enter.
Because spending twenty years in dark rooms editing tiny little films (TV commercials) makes him a great storyteller in either a single still image or in motion.
Because someone who heard the simultaneous sonic occurrence of his unmistakeable laugh combined with the sound of him ripping open the velcro cover on his photo portfolio asked for a recording of it to keep forever. It's a good laugh. Ridiculous when combined with velcro.
Because he asks you what music YOU want to hear when he photographs you. And what snacks you like.
Because making photography that will stop you in your tracks is what he lives for.
Billy is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the Association of Independent Creative Editors (AICE).
